Is organic matcha better?
It's a preference thing! Less than 1% of the matcha market is organic because it’s difficult to produce. To earn organic certification, the soil undergoes rigorous testing. Organic matcha is harvested just once a year, whereas non-organic matcha can be harvested 2-4 times annually.
This ceremonial-grade blend hails from Shiga, a Japanese prefecture east of Kyoto, boasting the oldest tea garden in Japan. This historic region is where the first tea seeds from China were planted in 815 at the foot of Mount Hiei.
